This is the climax chapter for Volume 2! I have a few reveals in this chapter I can't wait to post. The cover features Maris in her bedroom, which isn't as messy as it usually would be. I picture her as being like I was at 22-- my clothes were all over the place, CDs on the floor, makeup scattered, and even if there was furniture I was usually sitting on the floor. I drew a boombox and big headphones and a CD because I tend to not draw a lot of modern devices in this comic, if you haven't noticed. A boombox adds more to a scene than a smartphone and earbuds, anyway. I miss my old boombox...
I wanted this to be a quiet moment where she's in her pajamas watching the rain hit her bedroom window, so I wanted to avoid too much clutter. The calm before the storm...
