I think by the end of this chapter I am going to, at long last, be used to drawing Maris. She's a lot more animated and goofy than she was in the novelized version (though I think by later chapters I was starting to take her in that direction anyway) but she was kind of the weakest character in the group before, and now I think she brings a bit of comic relief to the story. She's supposed to be a really pretty character, though, so I'm always worried about getting too loose with her. I really like how she looks on these two pages.

The hardest to draw? Vesta and "Freckles". Lamia and Maris are kind of in-between.
